Advisory Council
As part of the Elk Grove Unified School District, EGCS follows board policies, procedures, and practices established by the EGUSD board of education. However, EGCS has an Advisory Council to EGUSD's board with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. EGCS' advisory council may be composed of members from various groups including: parents/guardians, staff, community members, and students. The council meets regularly in a public meeting format. We encourage EGCS stakeholders to attend advisory council meetings and any individual interested in serving on the advisory council is encouraged to contact a current council member or the school's principal.

Jane has a son in 11th grade at EGCS, and chose the school because of the flexibility it enables for athletes to pursue their sport. She teaches 6th grade English as well as Middle and High School Drama at an independent school in Sacramento. Her interest is in expanding the range of academic opportunities for EGCS students.
