Students in grades 9th and 10th are required to attend direct-instruction core workshops in English, math, science, and history/social science. These workshops meet Monday-Friday, for three hours and two classes per day. EGCS offers a morning and afternoon block of workshops that rotate on a 10 A/B block calendar. Generally, 9th grade students attend in the morning and 10th grade students in the afternoon, this schedule is subject to change based on enrollment and yearly program development. In addition to the workshops, 9th  and 10th  grade students may be required to attend other direct-instruction workshops as assigned by the ISP teacher or advisory teacher. Additional courses will be assigned during the 1st week of school.
