Principal's Message

Welcome the teachers and staff of EGCS have been working diligently to prepare for the arrival of students. Every year there are changes to the school’s program and staffing and this year is no different.

EGCS's math and English teachers are excited to start making improvements to the already good curriculum and instruction delivered last year. Continuing this year allEGCS students will be enrolled in the school’s Independent Reading course. One of EGCS’s focus areas is on improving the reading skills of all students. There is no better way to do that than by reading. Look for more information and details from your student’s ISP teacher.

Lastly, EGCS prides itself on its technology use and integration. This year every teacher will develop and manage their own web page and we strongly encourage all parents and students to register with School Loop. This is not only the primary means of communicating course progress (grades), but also teacher and school information. If you want to be in the “loop” be sure to register on School Loop. This will be true for ISP courses for the  school year as well. All teachers have been trained and gradebooks are probably being updated as we speak. Log in and stay informed.

This will be an exciting year at EGCS. With all the program changes communication will be essential. Please contact your student’s workshop or ISP teacher if you have questions or feel free to call the office and set up a time to talk to me. Welcome back and best wishes for a successful  school year.
