Career Technical Education Field Trip

Friday, October 26th, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

CRC has over 25 Career Technical Education programs such as; Fire Technology, Automotive, Veterinary Technology, and Culinary Arts Management to name a few. On our field trip, we will visit some of these programs. CTE programs are more focused, sometimes shorter, and offer certifications to help students gain employment in that field.

There are only 9 spots available, first come first served! Stop by the office to get your permission slip!

PSAT 

October 10th, 2018 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
EGCS is excited to administer the PSAT for al 8th, 9th, and 10th-grade students on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 8 am - 12:00 pm. Doors will open at 7:55, please arrive on time or early. Students who arrive after the test begins will wait in the office until a guardian picks them up. 
The PSAT is a 4-hour test, similar to the SAT, in 4 parts: reading, writing, math without a calculator, and math with a calculator. Students will receive a Study Guide they can work on individually or take to Math or English lab for help.
Based on their performance, students will receive:
*A personalized list of careers and college majors
*Access to the college Board's college and career planning website
*Customized, skill-based tutorials through Khan Academy
*Personalized SAT practice study plan

* Movies throughout the night at Golden Bear Theatre
*Dance areas throughout the park hosted by Top LA radio station DJs 
*and of course, the memories created with friends!

COST: $295
Timeline: Bus leaves EGCS at 2 pm on 5/16/19
Bus arrives at Six Flags Magic Mountain 9 pm
Ccess to park from 9 pm - 5 am
Bus leaves Six Flags Magic Mountain 5:15 am 5/17/19
Arrive back to EGCS at 1 pm 5/17/19

Trip does not include spending money, students will need to bring money for Souvenirs or whatever ese they may wish to buy.
Permission slips must to be turned in with $100 non-refundable deposit, cash or money order only! Spots are limited! Permission slips are DUE with Deposit by Feb 8, 2019.
Final Payment is due on March 4th.

Friday Night Live

Join the club!
Friday night live is a great opportunity for you to build your leadership skills, develop new friendships and get to know others on your campus. We focus on being drug and alcohol-free. You will be able to help plan and organize events and make a difference in our school and community. Get involved with Friday Night Live!
