OCTOBER JOB LEADS


1 Year Free Tuition

The Los Rios colleges are offering free tuition for 1 year. To qualify you need to fill out an application for the college and follow "STEPS TO SUCCESS"
Fill out the FAFSA application and the DREAM ACT application. No income requirement or limitations. 

*You must be a California resident
*must be a first time college students
*must submit early commitment contract 
*must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units and maintain this course load for fall and spring semester

From a one-year certificate to a twelve-year doctorate, www.californiacolleges.edu will help you better understand post-secondary choices and provide guides for parent and students in grades 7-12 as to the questions you should both yourself and the institutions that you are interested in.

This college and/or career planning website provides students and parents with an all-inclusive, one-stop location online to guide college and career decision-making and planning for life after high school. The platform provides tools needed to support students as they explore and navigate college and/or career and financial aid planning.

EGCS Financial Aid Workshop

Attention Seniors!
If you need help paying for college and need assistance completing the 2019-20 FAFSA or CADAA application, this workshop is for you!
EGCS FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP is Thursday, October 18th from 11:30 - 12:30 in room 111. Parents are welcomed to attend!

Information and material all students will need to bring to complete the online FAFSA:
*Student's social security number
* Parent's social security number, if available
*Student's 2017 federal income tax return, or w-2 forms or pay records
* Parent's federal income tax return from 2017 tax year and records of untaxed income such as child support, TNF, SS, etc.
Cal Grant & scholarship information also available. March 2nd is the priority deadline for FAFSA and Cal Grant GPA verification!

October 10th - PSAT 8/9, PSAT.NMSQT (10/11th)
October 16th - EGUSD Annual College Fair
October 18th - EGCS Financial Aid Workshop (seniors/early grads)
October 25th - Explore: Map your Future Career Pathway Expo (7-9th graders)
October 26th - Career Education Expo Field Trip to CRC (10-12)

November:
CRC Culinary Arts Program Presentation -TBD
November 1st - CSU/UC fall 2019 admissions application filing period opens
                             - Los Rios Community College application opens for fall 2019 enrollment (new)
November 3rd - SAT exam, registration deadline October 5th
November 9th- ASVAB career exploration assessment (10-12th grade)
November 30th - CSU/UC application deadline for fall 2019 admissions

December: 
EGRSF Scholarship Application Workshop TBD
December 1st - SAT exam, registration deadline Nov 2nd
December 7th - ASVAB interpretation workshop (scores & career exploration activity)
